Because the magazine is targeted for teenagers, I figured that an online magazine would be the best way to reach not only a greater audience but a more diverse one as well. An online interactive magazine would be the most appropriate for this age group due to the high influence in technology. I,as a teenager myself spend most of my free time online on social media, or even reading, but in a digital manner.  I try and even avoid buying tangible books simply because it is easier to purchase them online.

Resources

Resources

Because this is a vocational magazine what I wanted to do was actually talk to professionals who not only can guide students into their majors but can offer personal opinions as to what they should and should not do. This is a topic that I am extremely passionate about, so I figured why not gear this whole magazine towards an audience that would gain from it the most. I have personal connections with public defenders, prosecutors, and judges as I had an internship at the public defenders office the summer of 2014. With these connections I hope to be able to one on one discuss their own journeys as well as guide those around me. For this reason I have decided to email a few different people who specialize in this field. In addition, I also wanted to talk to college professors to determine what it is they look for and require from a student who wishes to pursue this occupational field. A person who has become like my mentor is Dr. Elena Grau- Leveria.

Although she is not per say directly involved with the legal field she has helped me talk to different professors that teach in majors that are associated with this field whether it be psychology, criminology or even international studies. She is an especially good resource to me as she is a professor in Spanish and can help me develop my native tongue that can help aid me in this journey. We have exchanged email back and forth and she now connected me with different professors.
